Overview

The Retail Media team at Trade School is one of our fastest growing business units. We’re continuing to invest in building the most talented team to scale our Retail Media practice. Trade School is focused on the sell side of retail media networks; we have a passion to help retailers strategically build their media networks.

Our team is built to act as an extension to our clients Retail Media team, such as The Home Depot, to play a role in building a media network that’s beneficial to their company and their advertiser partners. Our services include executive consultation, sales support, sales enablement, product marketing, marketing & pr, monetization strategy and more.

The Client Strategy Supervisor, Retail Media will be a strategic new business sales leader overseeing a robust sales pipeline and driving our team to achieve business goals. The role requires a combination of leadership, sales acumen, and expertise in digital media. You will focus on fostering client relationships, working with a high-performing sales team, and developing strategies that drive revenue growth for The Home Depot’s Retail Media Network. You will also have the ability to provide consultative support and best practices to our client’s growing media business.

This role will report directly to the Associate Director, Retail Media Sales at Trade School.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee agency sales funnel through effective management of documentation for sales activities and strategy
  • Provide coaching, training, feedback and strategic sales thought leadership to guide the team to meet sales goal
  • Continue to develop and add material to team onboarding plan and resource hub to enable the team new business team to reach their sales goals
  • Present and lead media recommendations to suppliers with the ability to pivot, as needed, based on supplier advertiser questions and needs
  • Foster and cultivate relationships with Trade School clients, exercising a high-level of communication, while delivering excellent customer service
  • Develop a collaborative team approach with senior retail media clients and agency leadership, on workflow processes needed to support advertiser supplier accounts across self-serve ad buying, onboarding, reporting and consistent optimizations
  • Translates client needs into actionable business strategies and deliverables that align.
  • Identifies and capitalizes on market trends to maximize sales revenue impact and to make sales strategy recommendations.

Desired Requirements

  • 6-8+ years experience in media strategy, sales strategy, omni-channel marketing, or retail media, with a consistent track record of success
  • Experience in sales, demonstrating the ability to provide meaningful, data-driven recommendations that have led to closing deals and sustained client relationships
  • Creative problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges, showing resilience and adaptability in dynamic environments
  • Proven leadership experience, preferably in the retail media or digital advertising industry, with a focus on guiding and motivating teams to achieve their highest potential.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to build rapport and foster strong relationships with both clients and team members
  • Highly collaborative working style, capable of working seamlessly across departments
  • Strategic thinker who can identify internal and external growth opportunities, using a deep understanding of market trends to drive revenue growth and competitive advantage
  • Extensive knowledge of digital media platforms (Display, Streaming, Native, Social), combined with a deep understanding of current trends and best practices
  • Working knowledge of major platforms including Google, Meta, Pinterest, various DSPs, and self-serve retail media platforms
  • Resilient under pressure with the ability to maintain focus, deliver results, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM is preferred, with the ability to leverage data and CRM systems to track progress, analyze trends, and inform sales strategies
