Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert consultation and technical assistance to U.S. local governments on clean energy strategies.
  • Coordinate the delivery of training and technical assistance, crafting high-quality project materials such as curricula and reports.
  • Oversee administrative and technical aspects of domestic projects, ensuring compliance and effective management of financial resources.
  • Mentor and supervise Assistant Program Managers and interns, equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge.
  • Build and nurture relationships with local governments and stakeholders to enhance program effectiveness.
  • Serve as the primary administrative liaison for consultants on pertinent operational tasks.
  • Manage financial oversight, tracking budgets and expenditures, and facilitating budget adjustments as needed.
  • Drive project communications and represent the organization at various workshops and conferences.

Required Skills

  • Strong understanding of clean energy policies and their application within local government contexts.
  • Knowledgeable in administration and finance associated with Federal grants and contracts.
  • Demonstrated project management expertise, including compliance and budgeting.
  • Ability to navigate complex administrative challenges with innovative solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, proficient in conveying technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with virtual communication platforms.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Planning, Business, Energy/Environmental Policy, Economics, or a related area.
  • A minimum of four (4) years of relevant project management experience within governmental or organizational frameworks.
  • A Master's Degree may substitute for one year of required experience.
