Nutrien is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Regulatory Specialist to manage and support our international registration efforts for crop inputs including fertilizers, adjuvants, and crop protection products. This role is crucial for ensuring that our products comply with regulatory requirements in various international markets, thereby supporting Nutrien's global operations and sustainability goals.
This position will be posted from October 16, 2024 - October 30, 2024.
What you will do:
- Determine country specific regulatory requirements. Develop and implement regulatory strategies to secure and maintain product registrations in target international markets.
- Prepare, compile, and submit regulatory documents, dossiers, and applications in accordance with local and international regulations.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with changing regulations, guidelines, and standards in key international markets. Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on regulatory matters.
- Act as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies, regulatory consultant, industry groups, and trade associations to facilitate communication and ensure alignment with local regulatory requirements.
- Maintain and organize accurate records of regulatory submissions, approvals, and correspondence, utilizing regulatory databases and document management systems.
- Work closely with R&D, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Sales, and other departments to ensure regulatory requirements are met throughout the product lifecycle.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior regulatory staff and cross-functional team members on regulatory processes and compliance.
What you will bring:
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Agriculture, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field. Master's degree a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience in regulatory affairs, particularly in the agricultural industry focusing on fertilizers, adjuvants, and crop protection products.
- Strong knowledge of global regulatory frameworks and standards for agricultural inputs.
- Proven ability to manage complex regulatory submissions and projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in regulatory databases and document management systems.
- Strong research and analytical capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and proactive approach.
- Ability to proficiently speak other languages would be a plus for duties associated with the international environment.
Please note that if the selected candidate for this opportunity is within a commutable distance to a corporate office, they would be required to work three days a week from that office location.
Compensation & Benefits:

Salary Range $56,000 - $96,000/annually (United States) or $73,200 - $109,800/annually (Canada). These ranges are estimated for a Regulatory Specialist - International Registrations in the United States or Canada. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.
