Job description

AutoStore is hiring a US Business Development Manager to gain foothold in the American market for our sister company Pio.

AutoStore has disrupted the warehouse industry with its game changing warehouse and automation solutions. Pio is AutoStore’s latest concept set out to democratize technology previously reserved for bigger players. We believe that automation and efficient storage solutions also should empower independent brands that create a diversified and exciting marketplace for end-customers around the globe. This is why we are creating Pio - a plug-and-play version of AutoStore tailored to small e-commerce and 3PL businesses. 

We believe the potential for Pio is enormous, and we have an exciting journey ahead with a new market, a new brand, and new ways of working. All backed by the world’s best warehousing tech. 

We are now looking for a US Business Development Manager with a large network of decision makers within SMB e-commerce and / or the 3PL industry in the US. Initial focus will be on building pipeline and signing the first customers in the US. After gaining traction you will spend more time building your own sales team. The role will report to Head of Pio and have a seat in the Pio management team.

Some responsibilities will include 

  • Leverage your network to build sales pipeline in the US and sign the first customers in the US 

  • Lead and develop the growing team of Pio Business Development Managers across US. 

  • Establish scalable processes and CRM system (HubSpot) – identify bottlenecks for scaling, find and implement solutions 

  • Drive the Sales Operations and report on sales funnel development and conversion 

  • Take part in the management team to develop the business model and strategy to accelerate the market growth 

  • Responsibilities may vary and change as the Pio operating model matures 

Who are we looking for? 

  • Seasoned Sales Professional with a background from solution oriented sales (software, automation, robotics etc) 

  • Natural leader with good storytelling and networking skills from a global market 

  • Proven track record of building efficient sales organizations 

  • Experience and large network within SMB e-commerce and / or 3PL providers 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English is a prerequisite 

  • Msc in relevant field (e.g Business, Marketing, Communication, Economics etc)
