We are currently seeking a Remote/Hybrid Associate Electrical Engineer, with an expectation to work in the office for two days each week while providing the flexibility of remote work for the remaining days. Candidates should be located near our offices in Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, or Seattle and possess relevant electrical engineering experience within California.

In the role of Associate Electrical Engineer, you will leverage your expertise in building services systems to contribute to a diverse array of innovative projects both domestically and internationally. Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Collaborating effectively with clients, architects, and fellow engineers as part of a highly skilled team
  • Creating detailed design drawings, electronic models, specifications, and reports for various projects within the electrical discipline
  • Coordinating with utility companies and ensuring all necessary electrical permit approvals are obtained
  • Organizing technical and financial proposals for upcoming projects
  • Managing the workload of Project Discipline Engineers and Technicians while ensuring high quality standards
  • Developing concept and preliminary engineering solutions for detailed designs
  • Preparing and monitoring project financial performance, maintaining effective administrative systems
  • Mentoring junior Electrical Engineers to foster their professional growth
  • Upholding compliance with current legislation and relevant building codes throughout all projects
  • Proactively managing personal workload to meet project deadlines

Required Skills

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical engineering design within the building services and construction sectors
  • Experience in projects related to Higher Education, Museums, Commercial, Transportation Hubs, or Stadiums is favorably regarded
  • Relevant bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • A Professional Engineer (P.E.) designation is desirable, with LEED AP accreditation preferred
  • Proficient in Revit and familiar with computational analysis tools related to electrical fault analysis and lighting design
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical challenges
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly in client-facing situations, including presentations to β€˜c-suite’ stakeholders
