Position: Senior Legal Counsel

Sector: Insurance

Start Date: December 2024

Duration: 8 months

Utilization: 80-100%

Location: Remote (Switzerland)

Salary: CHF 160’000-180’000

Tasks

Advise the Board of Directors and senior management on corporate governance matters, including best practices for board operations, risk management, and regulatory compliance
Ensure compliance with local and international corporate governance regulations.
Provide legal advice on ESG and sustainability topics, focusing on evolving regulations and corporate capital markets matters
Advise on compliance with financial and non-financial disclosure requirements, listing rules, and corporate governance standards
Collaborate with Legal & Compliance, Sustainability, Risk Management, Treasury, Investor Relations, and other business teams
Assist in the development and implementation of group-wide processes and frameworks to support ESG/sustainability reporting.

Requirements

Fluency in English
Swiss attorney-at-law
Min. 6 years’ of PQE with a focus on corporate governance and ESG/Sustainability within a financial institution or insurance company
In-depth understanding of the evolving ESG regulatory environment, including familiarity with EU, Swiss, and international legal frameworks
