Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for analysing business needs and translating them into actionable insights and solutions. You will leverage your expertise in data analysis and business intelligence tools to drive strategic decision-making and improve operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in database design and have proficiency in various analytical tools.
Responsibilities:
- Gather business requirements through meetings and stakeholder interactions.
- Conduct feasibility analysis to evaluate potential solutions and recommend the best approaches.
- Perform industry research to identify challenges and propose effective solutions.
- Extract and analyse data using business logic to inform decision-making.
- Develop digital frameworks to streamline and enable business processes.
- Conduct data mapping, verification, and analysis to ensure accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with data engineering and data science teams to address data gaps and implement solutions.
- Review and enhance business methodologies, identifying areas for improvement and innovation.
- Create and manage project timelines to ensure timely delivery of solutions.
- Organise and attend training sessions with team members, ensuring continuous skill development and knowledge sharing.
Skills:
- Expertise in using Excel for complex data analysis, including pivot tables, macros, and automation to streamline reporting and data manipulation.
- Strong experience in querying and managing large datasets to support data analysis and reporting requirements using SQL.
- Hands-on experience in building and managing data pipelines and performing analytics within the Databricks environment.
- Capable of creating insightful, visually appealing dashboards and reports that simplify complex data for business users using Looker & Power BI.
- Skilled in documenting and optimising business workflows using Visio to create detailed process diagrams.
- Proficient in managing project requirements, tracking progress, and ensuring team collaboration using Jira and Confluence.
Desired Skills:
- Ability to work within large, geographically dispersed projects, managing multiple stakeholders to ensure program alignment.
- Skilled at engaging with and influencing stakeholders, negotiating business needs, and driving project initiatives forward.
- Previous experience in the supply chain sector, understanding key processes and challenges within the domain to drive business solutions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £55,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
