Position Summary:

The ideal candidate is a passionate and detail-oriented journalist with a keen interest in covering relevant and compelling stories. This person will be responsible for researching, writing, and presenting news content across various platforms, contributing to our organization's commitment to delivering accurate and timely healthcare information.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough research on assigned topics and stay informed about current events.
  • Write clear, concise, and engaging news stories for print, online, or broadcast.
  • Conduct interviews and gather information from reliable sources.
  • Adhere to journalistic ethics and standards in reporting.
  • Collaborate with editors and other team members to ensure timely delivery of news content.
  • Provide coverage of major medical meetings, both remote and in-person, as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications or any other related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in news writing and/or editing for a news organization in the healthcare or science space.
  • Preferably with a background in the healthcare industry and/or with basic understanding of the US Healthcare System, FDA, CDC and medical journals.
  • Ability to produce a high volume of content or news articles each day
  • Preferably with SEO, CMS, and content marketing experience.
  • Experience in using AI Tools is a plus.
  • Excellent Interpersonal and Communication Skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to breaking news situations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Amenable to Work on Night Shift
  • Amenable to Work From Home Set Up
