Location: Austria, Germany, Switzerland - preferred: Vienna, Dornbirn, Munich (this is a remote position which requires to travel to Munich / Dornbirn 1-2x per month)

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a (Senior) HR Business Partner (f/m/d) to join our people department at CrateDB. The person must be able to match our collaborative excellence, creativity, and enthusiasm to be successful. WHAT YOU’RE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Be responsible for the onboarding and offboarding aspects of the employee lifecycle
  • Coordinate and further develop our recruiting process and be responsible from the HR department to do HR interviews
  • Organize and maintain employee records according to policy and legal requirements
  • Take ownership of our HR information system and be responsible for ensuring data integrity
  • Partner with our external payroll consultants to complete the Payroll in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Finland and the US
  • Rain first Leadership experience by being the manager for our working student in HR 
  • Act as the first point of contact for HR-related queries for our employees
  • Prepare and review compensation packages
  • Build and constantly improve existing processes, procedures and structures
  • Act as a champion and foster company culture, and values

YOUR SKILLS

  • 5+ years of relevant Human Resources experience preferred in a fast-growing (technology) start-up or scale-up
  • Knowledge of people operations, recruiting, payroll and employment law (AT and/or DE; US, Finland and CH nice to have)
  • Hands-on experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a high level of emotional intelligence
  • People-oriented and results-driven
  • Strong proficiency in German and English
