We are recruiting for the position of Project Quality Manager to work from either Rotterdam or Gorinchem, Netherlands

This role is for approx. 11 months and is due to start 1st December 2024.

Job Description

Accountabilities / Responsibilities

Ensure contractual requirements are clear for adequate Quality assurance and control
Ensure Quality awareness in the project team
Ensure readiness reviews are carried out at subcontractor sites/ yards
Interact with project team in HAZIDS and HAZOPS
Ensure compliance of quality related subcontractor’s documents
Forecast of working hours needed for the project Quality team
Management of non-conformance
Allocate Quality staff
Coordinate Quality staff according to project requirements and client requirements
Accountable for right performance of Quality staff on all project sites or yards
Ensuring improvement activities are implemented on a QHSE level
Updating of procedures project- and VOMS related and making sure that project personnel is aware of relevant VOMS procedures

Tasks

Prepare tender reviews and advice tender team in Quality matters
Assist project team in Quality matters; QA and QC related
Prepare Project QA documents (PQP, PQCP, Register set-up etc.)
Project Quality reporting, periodically
Initiate Project Quality meeting
Attend risk sessions e.g. HAZID, HAZOP
Conduct vendor audits, project driven
Review of design package (SoW, constructability check, compliance with specs)
Assist QC Supervisor with subcontractor readiness reviews
Review (and approval) of Subcontractor documents
Prepare risk based Project ITP
Coordinate Pre Inspection Meetings
Set up and maintain working files
Monitor Quality staff and set up weekly meetings with them
Providing input to Project Director/Manager w.r.t. Quality related items e.g. welding failure rating, NCR’s, readiness reviews
Close-out of NCR’s

Job requirements

Function Requirements

HBO technical degree
Inspection experience
I.W.T. or I.W.E.
Safety certificate e.g. VCA VOL
NACE level 2 or 3, FROSIO 2 or 3 (if applicable)

Skills

Strong communication skills
Highly independently
Leadership competences
Supervision on Client and project management level
English, Dutch written and spoken
Office skills e.g. Word, Excel, Power-Point…
Ability of being creative, flexible, resourceful in stressful or difficult situations
Ability of implementation w.r.t. project improvements, discipline guidelines and project procedures

Experience

At least 8 years’ strong experience, leadership and knowledge in project quality activities, welding inspection, NDT techniques, coating procedures and application, materials and their specifications and industry related norms and standards
Strong empathy with proactive quality management and “FIRST TIME RIGHT” principle
