Earthstream are proud to be recruiting a Business Development Manager - Transportation for a leading industrial automation solutions provider ficusing on innovative projects across multiple industries

Job Role: Business Development Manager - Transportation

Location: Telford/Remote

Salary: Up to £100,000 plus £6k car allowance, bonus scheme & benefits

As a Business Development Manager - Transportation your remit will include:

  • Present the business to potential clients through direct or digital communication
  • Provide a high-quality service to potential and existing customers
  • Maintain the Company's reputation as a leading-edge, systems integrator
  • Responsible for generation of new leads and making suitable appointments. Motivated to ensure all sales opportunities are explored
  • Travel will be a major factor and overnight stops may be required. Overseas travel can be expected from time to time
  • Successful management of the sales process from lead generation, pitching the business, asking questions, pitching the solution, negotiating and closing the order through to handing over a project to the Engineering team and kick-off meeting with customer
  • Prepare proposals and specifications with the full support of the Sales Applications team and in accordance with company procedures
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of issues affecting system integrator companies and the drives, digital and automation industry. Maintain an awareness of competitor activities
  • Representing the business at industry events and tradeshows in order to gain new business leads and contacts
  • Comply with all relevant standards and work to the Company's ISO9001 & ISO14001 registered
  • To comply with all Company procedures as defined in various documents including the Quality Manual, Staff Manual and Health & Safety Manual
  • Be pro-active in supporting other company activities such as supporting colleagues
  • To maintain good relationships with customers, suppliers and company staff
  • Other duties as required

What you will bring to the company:

  • A minimum of five years' previous experience in a similar role
  • A knowledge of systems integration incorporating Variable Speed Drives, PLCs, Robotics, and SCADA / HMI products, MES / MIS, Simulation, Smart solutions and autonomous mobile applications
  • Proven track record in selling solutions to a variety of industrial applications
  • Have established customer contacts at senior level
