Job Summary:

The Clinical Data Services Engineer will be responsible for supporting multiple customers, ideating and creating clinical analytics, developing DSE process documentation, and being the point of contact for all Pareo-related data and analytic items. This role will be responsible for leading analytics reporting on financial updates, and it will support the data build on new client implementations. The role will collaborate closely with clinical auditors and leaders, service analysts, software engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that data and analytic pipelines are efficient, reliable, and secure. This role requires deep expertise in clinical review concepts, data engineering technologies, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

You may be ideal if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent years of work experience.
  • 5 years minimum of experience in creating clinical analytics and development of growth outcomes.
  • 3 years minimum of experience in data engineering, with a focus on designing and building scalable data infrastructure and pipelines.
  • Moderate to expert SQL experience.
  • Ability to support multiple customers, while driving initiatives, projects, and outcomes 100% independently.
  • Background in leading new client and analytic implementations.
  • Exceptionally high productivity and quality of work.
  • Comfortable presenting analytics report financial updates to senior leaders.
  • Fluent in creation of process documentation.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient working with cloud databases (MySQL, MongoDB, Microsoft Azure, AWS, etc.) and data tools (Snowflake, Tableau, Power BI, Domo, SAS, Python, etc.)
  • Familiarity with data modeling techniques and concepts.
  • Medical billing and/or coding certification preferred (CIC, CPC, CCS, etc.)


Responsibilities:

  • 60% data infrastructure support and build | 40% concept ideation, strategy and pipeline build
  • Develop clinical concepts and strengthen the existing models through scalability to create a pipeline supporting strong and sustainable growth.
  • Design, architect and document data infrastructure processes and solutions, including data warehouses, data lakes, and streaming data pipelines, to support the organization's data needs.
  • Drive initiatives, projects, and outcomes independently.
  • Support new client implementations through data development and architecture.
  • Develop and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines for ingesting, processing, and transforming large volumes of data from diverse sources.
  • Design and implement data models and schemas to support efficient querying and analysis by data scientists and analysts.
  • Monitor data pipelines and infrastructure for performance issues, errors, and anomalies, and troubleshoot to resolve them in a timely manner.
  • Optimize data infrastructures for performance and scalability.
  • Implement security best practices and governance policies to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, software engineers, and business stakeholders, to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs
