Your Opportunity with ECG: SharePoint Developer
As a SharePoint developer, you’ll oversee the design process of our application software and software integration. Applications include but are not limited to SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and M365. Our SharePoint Online environment is used for project sites specific to client engagements, storing and categorizing internal documents, document archiving and searching, and managing our document review workflow system. The ideal candidate is open to new challenges, excellent at multitasking, customer focused, technically minded, experienced in the process of software development, and enjoys learning new technologies. The position reports to the IT applications manager and may be based in any of our ECG offices; however, preference will be given to candidates who can work out of the Seattle or Chicago offices.
Your Responsibilities May Include:
- Designing, customizing, and supporting our SharePoint Online environment, including our internally developed document review management/workflow system.
- Extending existing SharePoint custom code using SPFx, C#, React, TypeScript, and PowerShell.
- Managing enhancement requests and bug fixes for assigned systems in collaboration with the associated end-user teams using ServiceNow.
- Working with end users on SharePoint-related issues.
- Advancing search capabilities within SharePoint.
- Maintaining scripts related to SharePoint.
- Working with Azure Function and Logic Apps to support application integrations with ERP and CRM systems.
- Managing, maintaining, and making recommendations for improvements to existing system integrations.
- Evaluating and recommending new technologies.
- Providing support, documentation, and training of IT staff and end users, including ensuring there is a well-trained backup to support assigned applications if the primary resource is absent.
- Providing work estimates, risk assessments, and/or ROI analyses to help IT leadership prioritize projects, system implementations, enhancements, and upgrades.
- Attending educational workshops, seminars, conferences, online training, etc. to grow existing job knowledge and skills.
- Participating in the evaluation of potential new hires and mentoring existing employees.
Our Expectations of You
- Bachelor’s degree in computing science, information systems, or similar; five years of related work experience may be substituted for the educational requirement
- Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills; strong writing skills
- Excellent organizational skills; project management experience a plus
- 5+ years of experience with SharePoint development in an enterprise environment
- 3+ years of experience with programming and programming design concepts; C#, React, TypeScript, PowerShell, and other web technologies
- 2+ years of experience with M365 Groups, Microsoft Teams, Azure, Azure DevOps, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, PnP, and SPFx
- Familiarity with M365 community and SharePoint Framework
- Reporting experience—SSRS, PowerBI, PowerQuery, or PowerPivot experience a plus; ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues; experience with an IT ticket tracking systems a plus; experience with application security and system integration; HIPAA exposure a plus
- Availability to work the occasional weekend and/or evenings for planned implementations or system maintenance
- Ability to travel 5-10% of the time
Job Locations
The candidate must be based near an ECG office. Preference will be given to candidates in Seattle or Chicago, but other ECG offices include Atlanta, Boston, Dallas, Minneapolis, San Diego, St. Louis, and Washington, DC.

The estimated base salary range for this job is $115,000 - $130,000 annually. It represents a good faith estimate of the range that ECG reasonably expects to pay at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to years of experience, special skills, and market changes. This job is eligible to participate in ECG's annual incentive compensation program, which reflects ECG's pay-for-performance philosophy. The job is also eligible to participate in ECG’s benefit plans, which includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, unlimited PTO, and other wellness programs.
