We are currently hiring an Executive to lead our Renewables division. This individual will have responsibility for setting the Renewables division’s strategic business direction and accountability for operating performance, growth and profitability. Additionally, this individual will own all aspects of commercial activity and the operating P&L, including safety, quality, project management, customer reporting and communication, recruiting, and finance. In this high-paced division, the Executive is ultimately responsible for delivering the top and bottom line of the portfolio across the wind, hydro, and solar segments. This position is based out of our Piedmont, SC, location, but can be performed remotely from anywhere within the United States.

Your Day To Day

  • Provide strategic leadership to establish divisional long-range goals, strategies, and plans
  • Provide operational discipline, structure, and leadership with consistently applied processes to ensure quality and profitable field execution
  • Establish consistent business processes, disciplines, and reporting systems that enable fact-based analytics to manage profitability and provide a scalable platform that enables growth
  • Ensure the division has the proper operational controls, administrative reporting procedures, and systems in place to effectively grow and ensure financial strength and operational efficiency
  • Manage current divisional P&L with a focus on driving growth through organic and inorganic growth
  • Support all site execution for the Renewables division holding the highest standards for safety and quality
  • Deliver the P&L, delivering expected project margins, including understanding job costs and projected finances at completion. Formally work with the finance department to ensure proper customer invoicing and cash collection
  • Establish and set governance and oversite processes to measure performance, identify gaps and areas for improvement
  • Develops and controls financial plan and budget. Implements effective cost control systems over capital, operating expenditures, and maintenance costs to assure site operations meet financial objectives
  • Systematically build consultative relationships at all levels within customer organizations including operations, maintenance, leadership, and engineering decision-makers. Be an active leader of the sales team
  • Continuously track market conditions, government incentives, and gather customer feedback to launch targeted products in new or existing markets to drive growth
  • Ensure planning and execution of continuous improvement projects that increase organizational efficiency, provide favorable cost impact, and improve organizational flexibility
  • Lead the organization with the utmost care to drive a culture of inclusiveness, teamwork, and rewarding high performance, developing and promoting talent while maintaining stringent focus on safety

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline required. Advanced degree in a technical discipline preferred, MBA preferred
  • Renewable energy background required with 5+ years of active wind energy leadership
  • 10+ years of progressively responsible leadership, with an operations background
  • Leadership and decision making, customer service, clear communication, result orientation, self-motivated
