Job description

Role Summary

Our client is looking for a Valuation Specialist who will be an integral part of their underwriting team. This role will manage long- and short-term projects regarding property valuations across all 50 states. You’ll work closely with internal departments and external contractors, focusing on speed and accuracy, effective communication, and customer service.

The ideal candidate must have experience in the mortgage or appraisal industry and a proven track record of creative problem solving, good judgment and risk assessment, and a focus on customer relationships. You’re driven, tech-savvy, easily adaptable to industry changes, and comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced workplace. You’re relentlessly proactive and organized, and pitch in to help your team members when they need it.

WORK SCHEDULE: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Pacific Daylight Time (11:00 PM – 8:00 AM Philippine Standard Time), follows Philippine holidays

POSITION TYPE: Full Time

WORK ARRANGEMENT: Remote

Essential Functions

  • Monitor the company’s CRM for value requests
  • Interpret inputs on value requests and request clarification/additional information from the requesting party, when necessary, by email
  • Place orders for evaluations, appraisals, and progress inspections
  • Request appraisal quotes by email
  • Monitor open valuation orders using the CRM and other software platforms
  • Request updates on delayed orders by email
  • Process completed valuations
  • Send ROV requests by email

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in the related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the mortgage industry, property inspections, or property valuations
  • Possess great attention to detail with immaculate organizational skills
  • Experience with Windows, Office 365, CRMs, and cloud-based systems preferred, but general tech-savviness is a must
  • Excellent grammatical, oral communication, writing, spelling, and proofreading skills, with the ability to express yourself clearly and effectively in writing as well as to interpret the written communication of others
  • Solutions-oriented and adaptable to change and feedback
  • Ability to work independently to organize and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced work environment
  • Possess outstanding people skills and customer service instincts
  • Reliable, punctual, and willing to help others when needed
