What this job involves
We are looking for a Director of Technology Platform Management to manage the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) regional delivery of our technology solution that supports our Global Lease Administration business. Working closely with the technology team and the business, you will ensure the smooth ongoing operation of the system, deploy functional enhancements and develop/implement new technology products. You will also work closely with the EMEA Lease Administration transition team to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of client deployments onto the technology platform. You will be the single point of contact to clients and internal stakeholders on the progress of all activities related to technical delivery of projects in the EMEA region.
Our platform includes functionality for managing lease abstracts and the lease abstraction processes, critical event management, portfolio data management, financial management of landlord invoices, reconciliation audits, and portfolio analytics and interactive reporting. Our Lease Administration platform is designed to support a diverse set of needs on a local, regional and global basis; we provide comprehensive knowledge and access to data across large property portfolios that enable our clients to make strategic real estate decisions that support and enhance their core business.
You will have proven IT delivery experience, developing and delivering client facing technology solutions in a global environment. In addition, you will have demonstrated experience working with cross functional service groups to ensure alignment, integration, adherence to security and compliance standards, and enablement of project delivery.
We need someone with global experience as our clients do business in most countries globally, and the technology team is spread across the Americas, EMEA and APAC regions. Strong vendor management experience (onshore and offshore) and technical competence are also prerequisites.
You will be passionate about the practical application of technology and data in the Real Estate sector and driving transformation of our clients’ real estate operations. You will have a real passion for solving client issues and have excellent leadership skills. You must have a practical understanding of technology and data solutions and excel in building relationships.
The role will be accountable for, but not limited to, the following responsibilities:
Business Engagement
Develop and sustain effective relationships and partnerships with key business stakeholders, providing insights and guidance on technologies and how to leverage to achieve desired business outcomes
Learn and talk the language of the business. Understand desired business outcomes and execute technology projects to enable this
Engage with business stakeholders and communicate complex solutions and value in business terms
Be the primary interface for Lease Admin IT projects in EMEA for our business stakeholders
Contribute to annual Opex/Capex plans for technology investments
Project Planning and Delivery
Partner with business stakeholders to understand demand and prioritise appropriately
Manage client interactions and expectations for multiple projects
Drive execution and ensure successful delivery of projects by managing delivery resources (internal and external). Collaborate with other members of the organisation where required
Architect the overall delivery approach during the pre-sales or project planning phase, including resourcing
Own project budgets and timelines
Support technical implementation activities by collaborating on functional requirements and design, provide inputs to cost and timeline estimation
Proactively coordinate activities and interdependencies, including management of risks
Implement review, quality assurance and sign off procedures to ensure successful project execution
Ensure operational reliability and performance of all developed solutions prior to transitioning into production through assisting in user acceptance testing and review of various production transition plans
Partner effectively with relevant operations team to ensure that all solutions are adequately supported
Draft and maintain project plans, status reports, risk and issue logs to facilitate the successful delivery of solutions
Implement appropriate status reporting for internal stakeholders and clients
Business Analysis
Develop deep and broad, business, functional and domain knowledge to ensure alignment of technical solutions to business outcomes
Capture business case, ROI, critical success factors and translate into solutions
Conduct effective business process and requirements analysis to serve as critical input to the project delivery
Be the technology SME and provide leadership to the delivery teams
Lead the design of high level solutions and coordinate business and technical design sessions
Assess business feasibility of proposed solutions and develop a point of view/recommendation; anticipate and mitigate unintended impacts of changes to business processes, systems configurations and other systems
Ensure effective consultation with partners (internal and external) in exploring and applying outside-in solution ideas to address business opportunities and challenges
Vendor Management
Leadership and Management
Ensure high standards of business and functional knowledge are applied by team members to deliver successful outcomes. Hold the team and individuals accountable for results
Ensure effective teamwork and collaboration with other teams to achieve a unified and responsive approach to the business and our clients
Assist in coaching and growing the team under management of the Senior Director
Represent Technology in relevant executive and governance forums
Identify and lead continuous improvements to drive increased value and effectiveness
Sales Support
Provide technical leadership and expertise to support pre-sales and post sales processes
Contribute to RFI, RFP and other proposal processes
Support demonstrations and pitches through product expertise and demonstrations of the technology platform
Educate account teams and clients on products and how to use effectively
Leverage technical, product, data and business process knowledge to promote best practice solutions and influence client’s direction

Essential Skills/Experience
8+ years of experience in the development and delivery of client facing technology solutions
Experience working with a global user base and reconciling competing regional requirements
Experience running multiple concurrent projects of medium-to-high complexity involving application development and integrations, systems and data migrations and operational improvements
End-to-end project management experience, including business case preparation, technology evaluations and implementation/resource planning
Highly analytical, technically proficient (with relevant technologies) and able to learn new tools and software quickly
Strong listening skills, demonstrated ability to ask effective questions
Ability to work under pressure and effectively prioritise and manage time and workload; demonstrated ability to maintain composure in stressful situations, responds to client needs quickly and effectively
Significant experience of working in a dynamic and complex matrix environment with multiple senior stakeholders with different priorities
Self-motivated problem solver, ability to analyse complex situations and make sound decisions; able to thrive in a dynamic and client centric environment
Excellent communicator who understands how to share information effectively in a matrix environment
Solid experience in delivering business requirements, functional specifications and process documentation pertaining to complex business processes
Ability to estimate project effort, create plans and maintain project budgets
Ability to grasp and simplify complex concepts and requirements
Experience working with both onshore and offshore development teams and third parties
Strong organisational and troubleshooting skills with precise attention to detail

Technical Skills/Experience
Experience with multiple and diverse application environments including IWMS systems, Internet applications, Cloud and Business Intelligence processes and applications
Deep understanding of data applications
Knowledge and understanding of business process systems and business solutions
Thorough knowledge of IT delivery methodologies and tools/techniques (Waterfall, Agile, etc.)
Experience of managing and delivering applications with large data sets and complex data integrations
Understanding of current and emerging trends relating to technology, data and analytics
Familiarity with the following:
Microsoft: SQL Server, .NET, Project
BI technologies: Microsoft BI, Tableau
data cleansing, data integration
Informatica experience desirable
Education Requirements
Graduate degree (Computer Science or equivalent preferred). Advanced degree would be useful
PM certifications highly desirable
Business Analysis background desirable
