Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

Summary of Position:

We are seeking to hire an experienced QA professional for our direct client in the USA. The individual will be responsible for testing software applications and ensuring quality. This will involve collaborating with product managers to understand requirements, defining test plans and scenarios, and implementing automation.

Mode of Interview

The first round consists of a skill assessment test on a platform called Ducknowl, followed by an interview with the hiring manager.

Responsibilities:

• Should be proficient with Test Automation tools using Selenium, Cucumber, TestNG, Junit.
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot issues in the Automated Testing Process.
• Experience digging into logs and SQL databases to get to the root of the problem.
• Automate test cases, improve code coverage, and help us choose the right tools
• Report defects for code errors discovered during test runs
• Execute & develop test cases manually.
• Establish repeatable and scheduled test plans to ensure all products perform as expected (regression) and escalate as necessary.
• Support internal departments by communicating potential product issues and recommending workarounds until issues are resolved.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Over 5 years of QA as Automation tester
•  2 years of experience in Manual testing
• Solid experience in SQL, and ability to write complex SQL queries
• Experience with Agile software development methodology (SCRUM)
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
• Knowledge of API testing and test tools
• Comfortable working with team members across the world
