We are looking for a QA Architect to join the team and take responsibility for all technical aspects of QA/testing activities to ensure best test coverage of our products and services. This includes EDP test strategy definition and implementation, requirements analysis, test automation framework design and development, design activities to ensure best test coverage of our products and services. This includes EDP test strategy definition technical test approaches for different levels of testing, test documentation.
The Platform QA team within the EDP program organization is responsible for end-to-end testing of hybrid cloud platform services, including our private/public cloud Kubernetes Service, the Resource Management Service, the Service Lifecycle Management Service, the Identity and Access Management Service and multiple Data services, such as Postgresql, Kafka, TimescaleDB, etc; as well as our Devops tools.
The EDP Platform QA Architect will actively align their activities with other QA members of the Platform QA team as well as working closely and collaborating with the dedicated QA teams within the program's different Product Line teams. They will also work closely with the Platform and Product Line architects to understand EDP and optimise relevant testing approaches to ensure the platform satisfies its functional and non-functional requirements.

The EDP Platform is a service oriented, cloud-native platform that is being built to provide application teams with self service capabilities to develop, run and operate their software products. EDP Platform provides services for application infrastructure, data, service lifecycle management, application build and delivery as well as services to operate their software products. The EDP Platform is deployed as a hybrid cloud, encompassing both private cloud and select public clouds.
We are looking for talented, experienced, and motivated individuals in the following role to join the EDP team to take EDP to its next level.
Main Targets
- Close cooperation with platform architecture and Product Line architects and product owners
- Requirements and dependencies analysis for Kubernetes (K8s) as a service, Data services (k8s operators tailored for data technologies), DevOps tools, IAM services and Observability capabiltiies
- Build and support technical implementation of the test automation framework,
- Close collaboration with Product Line QA teams to implement optimal test automation approaches for different levels of the testing pyramid.
Your Skills
Must-have :
- In-depth knowledge of K8s, containerization, and orchestration
- Experience with multi-cloud platforms, understanding services, networking, and cloud-native testing approaches.
- Experience with testing and validating data pipelines, databases (SQL/NoSQL), data streaming technologies like
- Kafka
- Strong experience with building test automation frameworks, pytest
- Proficiency in REST API testing
- Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot complex cloud-native issues
- Ability to design scalable test strategies for cloud-native and containerized applications, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
- Ability to work closely with DevOps, development, and product teams to integrate QA into the development lifecycle.
- Experience in leading QA teams, mentoring junior engineers, and establishing best practices.
- Understanding customer requirements and ensuring testing strategies align with customer use cases.

The individual must be a senior to architect level practitioner in test automation with a proven skills and experience with Kubernetes, Data technologies, API testing and pytest.
- Commercial experience in testing and test automation for large scale projects,
- Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle, agile and scrum methodologies,
- Familiarity with DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation,
- Experience in building test automation frameworks from scratch, and defining test approaches and methods,
