Job description

Place of work: Full remote from Poland

UoP or B2B contract

Are you an experienced hardware engineer with a passion for driving innovation in product development? We are seeking a Hardware Architect Engineer to lead and contribute to the creation of cutting-edge technology solutions. This role is essential for delivering highly competitive products in the industrial and electronics sectors, requiring expertise across a broad range of hardware design and development processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 5-10+ engineers (hardware, firmware, mechanical, test) and work closely with suppliers and vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Oversee the entire hardware development lifecycle from concept through to production, including design, testing, and delivery.
  • Expertise in mixed signal design (ADC, DAC, grounding concepts) and high-speed designs (memory interfaces, bus architectures, high-speed communication links).
  • Proficiency in analog electronics requiring low power, high accuracy interfaces to field sensors and transducers.
  • Work with industry standards for I/O (4-20mA, HART, DI/DO, Universal IOs) and industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, EtherCAT, ModBus, CAN-FD, etc.).
  • Design analog circuits with various sensing technologies, including voltage, current, and pressure.
  • Optimize Bill of Materials (BOM) for cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
  • Design, simulate, and verify analog circuits such as operational amplifiers, data converters (ADC/DAC), voltage regulators, and filters.
  • Ensure designs meet global compliance and safety standards, including EMI/EMC, IEC61000, UL, and wireless certification requirements.
  • Perform design reviews for schematics, PCBs, and functional testing, ensuring designs are ready for certification and production.
  • Use industry-standard tools for schematics and PCB design (e.g., Cadence, Allegro) and conduct detailed analyses such as thermal, signal integrity, EMC modeling, and reliability assessments.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record in leading hardware development teams and delivering successful projects.
  • Deep knowledge in analog and mixed-signal hardware design.
  • Experience with processor-based design (32/64-bit, preferably NXP processors) and microcontroller-based design (preferably STM).
  • Exposure to memory devices (DDR, NAND, NOR) and reverse engineering analysis.
  • Familiar with safety and compliance standards across global markets.
  • Strong hands-on experience with hardware development tools and simulation software (SPICE, MATHWORKS).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
