Responsibilities:
  • Gather, compile, and analyze procurement, maintenance, distribution, and replacement material and personnel logistics data.
  • Coordinating the distribution point of material for incoming and outgoing material.
  • Set up / prepare offices for incoming FTE and contractors.
  • Assemble/disassemble office furniture.
  • Assemble/disassemble cubicles, including walls, desk surface tops, cabinets, etc.
  • Patching\painting walls
  • Installing floor tiles
  • Mounting TVS and Audio equipment
  • Forklift experience a plus.
  • Interface with warehouse personnel for equipment and distribution of materials.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in shipping and receiving.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move objects weighing 50 lbs. or more unassisted.
  • Must be able to climb and balance (stairs, ladders, scaffolds, etc.).
  • Specific vision abilities required – close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust/focus.
  • Computer skills – data entry, use of Microsoft products and VA software.
  • Must be able to operate common power tools such as circular saw, drill, etc.,
  • Use of hand tools such as hammer, screwdriver, etc.
  • Must be able to provide direct customer service in timely, courteous manner

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, mathematics or business administration and 10+ years’ work experience
  • Eight (8) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education (18 years total)

 

Clearance: 

  • The ability to pass a Tier 2/Moderate Background Investigation 

 

Location:

  • Department of Veteran's Affairs (100% On-site)
  • Monday - Friday  (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM CST Time)
  • Austin Information Technology Center (AITC)
