Senior Cyber Security Architect

• NY based company, candidates should live on the East coast, candidates in close proximity to NYC are preferred.
  
  
  

Our client is looking for a Cyber Security Architect to join the Cyber team as the main Architect on the team. Candidates should have design and architect level experience, Level 4 engineering. Candidates should have PHI, HIPAA, HITRUST experience, as well as analyzing compliance frameworks, fine tuning security policies with SaaS products, etc.

Description

• As a member of the cybersecurity staff, contributes to addressing security challenges, identifying innovative technology opportunities, and assisting staffs in reducing security risks.
• Designs security reference architectures in accordance with security standards and various regulatory and compliance requirements (e.g., Protected Health Information).
• Assists in the evaluation and threat modelling of overall risk for systems including data, accounting for the people, processes, and technologies that provide security controls.
• Architects, advises, prioritizes, coordinates, and communicates the choice of security technologies necessary to ensure a highly secure yet usable computing environment.
• Provides security architecture and advice in one or more areas of expertise: application development, infrastructure, system/application, network, physical, supply chain and enterprise technology projects.
• Works with various engineering teams to choose appropriate secure configurations, security solutions and facilitates complete integration into the respective environments.
• Participates in the review of design principles, controls and configurations governing third-party access to systems or third-parties receiving/using data.
• Contribute to security incident discovery and response activities.
  
  
  

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in a startup, early life cycle, product development company.
• Comprehensive understanding of internal control environments within the IT function.
• Experience with multiple technology domains including aspects of Windows, Mac, Firewalls (functionality), Office 365 Security, Azure, AWS, GCP, Endpoint Security, and Multi Factor Authentication.
