Join Our Team as a Patient Access Services Manager!

We are seeking a dynamic Patient Access Services Manager to lead our remote team, working Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM. In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing patient access processes, enhancing the patient experience, and ensuring regulatory compliance. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional with at least 5 years of experience in patient access, registration, or related healthcare roles, and a proven track record of managing and improving patient access services. This is a remote position.

As the Patient Access Services Manager, you will play a pivotal role in upholding this commitment by overseeing patient registration, insurance verification, pre-certification, financial counseling, and front desk services.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operational Excellence

    • Lead all aspects of patient access services, ensuring efficient registration, insurance verification, and financial counseling.
    • Develop and refine processes to improve accuracy, streamline workflows, and meet compliance standards.
    • Continuously monitor daily operations to uphold high service quality and efficiency.
  2. Team Leadership

    • Recruit, train, and mentor patient access staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
    • Provide regular performance feedback and support staff development through ongoing training initiatives.
  3. Patient Experience

    • Ensure a seamless, positive experience for patients by managing patient flow and addressing concerns promptly.
    • Implement strategies to reduce wait times and enhance overall patient satisfaction.
  4. Financial Management

    • Oversee financial counseling, ensuring patients understand their responsibilities and available assistance programs.
    • Collaborate with the billing department to resolve insurance-related issues and improve revenue cycle performance.
  5. Compliance & Quality

    • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including HIPAA and EMTALA.
    • Conduct regular audits and implement quality improvements to enhance service delivery.
  6. Reporting & Analysis

    • Prepare detailed reports on key patient access metrics and analyze data to identify areas for improvement.
    • Provide actionable insights to senior management to inform decision-making and strategic planning.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field (required).
    • Master’s degree or certification in healthcare management (preferred).
  • Experience:

    • Minimum 5 years of experience in patient access, registration, or related roles.
    • Proven success in managing patient access operations and improving patient experience.
  • Skills:

    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Expertise in patient access processes, insurance verification, and financial counseling.
    • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
    • Proficiency in healthcare information systems, EHRs, and Microsoft Office Suite.
