Job description

Job Description Summary The Electrical Engineer (EE), collaborating closely with Senior EEs, will lead the electromagnetic design for assigned projects. These projects primarily involve high-speed permanent magnet alternators and motors. The EE will utilize both in-house and commercial design software for lumped parameter calculations and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) when necessary. Moreover, they will closely interact with other design functions, including mechanical and design/drafting, while coordinating the EMAG design with associated power electronics and regulators. Roles And Responsibilities

  • Perform electromagnetic design analyses and calculations as needed.
  • Prepare and deliver analysis results to large audiences.
  • Interpret and clarify customer technical expectations.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering Team to achieve internal cost targets and establish cost objectives.
  • Define and uphold technical compliance with customer requirements.
  • Adhere to project schedules and meet deadlines.
  • Coordinate technical design efforts with other Unison resources, including Marketing, Manufacturing, Quality, Operations, and integrated product teams.
  • Draft technical proposals and present technical details to customers.
  • Generate comprehensive design and analysis reports.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in electrical engineering)

The base pay range for this position is $67,700 - $101,400. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on November 1, 2024 .
