Job description

Due to a forthcoming retirement, a succession plan is in place and because of this the position of Growth Lead (Advisory & Digital Solutions) has become available to join our thriving Advisory & Digital Solutions sector.

Advisory & Digital Solutions is a core part of Costain’s strategy to broaden our mix of services and grow margin performance. We work across all sectors helping our priority customers access the whole of Costain to help them solve their most complex infrastructure problems across the asset lifecycle.

As a Growth Lead, you will bring together Business Development capability coupled with both specialist knowledge of Advisory Services & Digital product solutions & broad industry disruptive thinking to ensure we bring the most innovative solutions to our customers enduring issues, enabling people and planet to thrive.

You will collaboratively with the sector/key account teams (Transportation, Energy, Water, and Defence & Nuclear Energy), consultancy and other teams and provide a ‘one-team’ Costain response. Shape opportunities with Advisory & Digital Consultants and customers based on their outcomes, to feed into the wider Advisory & Digital Solutions pipeline. Challenge customer thinking and proactive market thinking – spotting the white space and pursue opportunities to provide Advisory Services & Digital product Solutions currently being utilised by your clients across the business to expand growth and return on investment

This is a homebased role with visits to clients & project sites in the UK and our offices (Worle, London, Manchester) as and when required so flexibility and mobility to travel is essential.

This position has a competitive salary dependent on skills and experience, in addition to a fantastic benefits package including pension contribution matched up to 10%.

Role Requirements

  • Significant consulting sales/business development experience at Senior level ideally within our core markets: Transportation, Energy, Water, and Defence & Nuclear Energy.
  • Entrepreneurial and inspiring consulting knowledge & skills
  • Excellent communicator and relationship builder with strong written skills
  • Knowledge of current and emerging technologies
  • Relationship building and account management experience
  • Champions Sustainability Safety, Health and Environment by putting personal safety and wellbeing at the heart of everything we do and helping the environment and communities to thrive.
  • Having integrity by always doing the right thing in the right way.
  • Must be customer focussed by striving for excellence through understanding, anticipating and meeting their needs.
