We're looking for a motivated business assistant to join our Legal and Life Services function and provide key support to our business leaders.

In this role we'll look to you to provide a professional and personal service with a difference. You'll be an advocate for change and new ways of working, making sure our senior leaders are always up to date, informed and organised. We'll need you to act as a trusted confidant for the team, working with professionalism and discretion at all times. This is a fantastic chance to build on your skills and gain great exposure across the business and our senior leadership team.

What you'll do

* Support senior leaders with proactive inbox and diary management, managing competing demands effectively
* Organise travel and accommodation for leaders and directors in a cost-effective manner including processing expenses
* Make sure Board and subsidiary meetings run smoothly including booking meeting rooms, arranging Board dinners, greeting visitors and dialling in virtual attendees
* Attend, support and chair key meetings, managing the agenda and logging action points as well as making sure our leaders are prepared and have all the information they need
* Be the first point of contact for any IT related issues
* Manage all correspondence and documents with discretion
* Be a proactive member of the business assistant network, sharing ideas and ways of working

This role would suit people who have

* Previous experience of diary management and working with senior leaders
* Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail with the ability to proactively manage conflicting priorities
* A high level of proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, particularly Microsoft Outlook
* Resilience and adaptability within a fast-paced environment
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the confidence to engage with senior colleagues across the business

Why Co-op?

If you have the skills that we need, we can offer you a competitive salary and great benefits package which includes 30% off Co-op branded products in our food stores (as well as other discounts on Co-op products and services).

* An annual bonus (based on personal and business performance)
* 28 days holiday (rising to 32 with service) plus bank holidays
* A pension with up to 10% employer contributions
* Access to a subsidised onsite gym (at our Manchester HQ)
* Coaching and training to support your career development
* Wagestream app - giving you access to a percentage of your pay as you earn

We're also part of the Disability Confident scheme, meaning we'll always offer an interview to disabled candidates who apply through the scheme if they meet the minimum criteria for a job.

We'll ask whether you'd like to be considered under the Disability Confident scheme when you apply.
If we invite you to take part in the recruitment process for any of our jobs, we'll ask you if you need any reasonable adjustments to enable you to participate.
