Site Reliability Engineer

We have a US-based client in the financial services domain, that partners with businesses to offer solutions for expense management and financial automation, ensuring convenient access to financial services worldwide. We're forming a team for this client and looking for a Site Reliability Engineer. You'll join a team of skilled and mature professionals. 

Requirements

• 3+ years of total experience in the field. 

• BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience. 

• Understanding of cloud providers (AWS (the main focus), GCP, Azure) and Operating models. 

• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes. 

• DevOps experience, including CI/CD with Jenkins and Ansible. 

• Familiar with Tomcat, Apache, Kafka, and streaming services (Flink, Spark). 

• Experience querying Big Data systems like Hadoop. 

• Scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar for automation. 

• Familiar with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Splunk, Grafana). 

• Experience with SDLC, Agile, and on-call support for cloud/on-prem apps. 

• Strong team player with excellent communication skills. 

• Proficient in problem-solving, troubleshooting, and multi-tasking. 

• Quick learner with a passion for new technology trends. 

• Upper-Intermediate English. 

Responsibilities: 

• Ensure stability and health of products, breaking down barriers and fostering developer ownership. 

• Support developers with operational design, automation, capacity planning, and monitoring for scalable solutions. 

• Focus on triage and root cause analysis, performing blameless post-mortems to improve resilience. 

• Engage early in development to proactively manage production and maximize customer experience. 

• Manage compliance and risks across environments, aligning operational needs with business priorities. 

• Collaborate with teams to ensure proper system behavior and monitoring for anomaly detection. 

• Troubleshoot and improve large-scale systems, balancing quick fixes with long-term improvements. 

• Provide continuous feedback to optimize operations. 

• Follow security policies and report any breaches.
