Position Summary:
The Senior Systems Administrator administers and maintains critical business systems including VMWare, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, SFTP, SMTP, VPNs Firewalls, Load Balancers, IIS, and related technologies. They will help ensure the smooth operation of our production environments, contribute to our continuing improvement, and assist in architecting the services that support the enterprise. The candidate is expected to be a skilled IT professional and possess excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensure critical business systems are available 24x7x365
  • Administration of Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP and DNS
  • Administration of SMTP, SFTP IIS servers, Load Balancers and Firewalls
  • Administer cloud-based systems including Office 365 and Entra ID.
  • Troubleshooting
  • Own projects, solutions, and key responsibilities within a larger business initiative
  • Develop secure deployment and configuration guides as new technology is implemented.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with Cority internal information security controls.
  • Assist with internal audits and other information security related tasks
  • Enable more efficient and smarter business processes and implement analytics for meaningful insights

  • QUALIFICATIONS
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in design, implementation, configuration, and support of production Windows workloads
  • In-depth knowledge of the Windows server operating system, including internet-facing IIS workloads
  • Expert understanding of VMware ESX
  • Expert understanding of TCP/IP networking
  • In-depth understanding of Observability (Metrics, Logs and Traces) using APM tools like ELK, New Relic, or Datadog
  • In-depth understanding of application scalability, performance and reliability
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and AWS
  • Experience with Linux
  • Experience with containerized applications
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve server related issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Must have an ability to work independently as well on a team
  • Must possess strong time management skills and attention to detail in documentation. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience required.
  • VMWare, Azure and AWS certifications are highly desirable but not required
  • Note: Incumbent will work regular business hours, but may require evenings and weekends to complete projects, monitor system/network alerts or perform maintenance on systems.
