Automation Engineer



The Client is looking for an IT professional to join our team of superstars as an Automation

Engineer. This position is for a technically talented, innovative, detail-oriented, and ambitious

individual with a strong desire to learn and grow, both technically and as a professional. The company is looking for someone who works well as a team player.

As a Managed Service Provider (MSP), The Client supports the IT environments of multiple

companies. The environments can vary in terms of size and complexity. As such, the pace and

demands maintain a high level, typically much greater than an in-house IT position supporting

one company. Additionally, our profitability and capability for growth are tied to our internal

innovation through automation as well as our ability to offer external automation solutions

directly to our Clients. The Automation Engineer would be responsible for implementing

prioritized automation efforts using a variety of automation tools.


Job Responsibilities


Work with other team members to identify areas for automation and gather

business requirements... these automation areas may be internal or from our

clients.

Document processes to streamline business workflow and create workflow diagrams to

represent proposed workflow.

Create and implement software packages to automate business processes.

Define and perform test plans for all test phases (integration, user, and operational

readiness).

Address issues identified during all test phases and after deployment.

Create and/or maintain documentation of automation solutions.

Monitor and measure automation solution effectiveness after deployment.

Revise and improve existing automation solutions based on feedback.

Communicate project risks and issues to the Centralized Services Lead.

Adhere to defined metrics and expectations including daily time entry and status

Reporting



Job Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years in an automation development role based on the Working Knowledge

section below.

Bachelors degree.

Working Knowledge Required

Extensive experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) / automation tools e.g.,

Rewst, Immybot, Microsoft Intune, etc.

Extensive experience with process automation scripting e.g., PowerShell, Python, etc.

Extensive experience with development processes e.g., Agile, etc.

Experience with standard administration, application, and deployment of Centralized

Services tools provided by Mentis across client environments):



Other Considerations

MSP experience (including experience with Centralized Services tools) is not required

but will be strongly considered as a differentiating factor.

This position is intended to be a part-time position initially (estimated at 40 hours /

month; 10 hours/week) with the opportunity to transition to a full-time position (with

standard benefits to be discussed).

This position will report to the Centralized Services Manager.

Upon applying, candidates may be requested to complete a variety of questionnaires to

measure skills, business acumen, personality, and capability for growth.

Upon extension of the offer, the candidate may be requested to complete a background check

and employment with The Client is dependent upon a background report.

Representative Automation Activities (create and maintain)

User onboarding the capture of new user information and creation of user in CS tools

listed above plus Active Directory, Microsoft 365, etc

Interview Process

Phase 1:

o 15-30 minute video interview with candidate (with Centralized Service Manager)

o Candidate to complete our assessment (typically takes 15-30 minutes):



Phase 2: Based on these results, if we proceed:

o 30-60 minute technical video interview with candidate (CS Manager)

o Candidate to create a workflow and sample scripting based on an example

automation request provided (typically takes 2-4 hours):

Phase 3: Based on these results, if we proceed:

o 30-60 minute video interview with candidate (full Leadership team)

Phase 4: Based on these results, if we proceed:

o Discussion with candidate to discuss specific terms of offer (President

and/or Operations Manager)
