Role Summary
The Senior Manager, People Partner works closely within the People and Operations team to both provide HR Business Partnership to the Engineering organization and lead our Compensation and Benefits programs. Reporting to the VP of Human Resources, you will act as a strategic partner to engineering leaders driving talent management initiatives. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive compensation and benefits programs that align with our strategic goals. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our offerings are competitive, equitable, and supportive of our diverse workforce. Your expertise in scaling HR practices within startup environments will be essential as we continue to grow and evolve. You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
What You Will Do
Strategic Partnership & Talent Management:
- Collaborate with engineering leaders to understand their business objectives and align HR strategies accordingly
- Provide insights and recommendations on workforce planning, organizational design, and talent development
- Support the roll-out and execution of all key People programs within the engineering organization including the facilitation of talent reviews and succession planning processes to identify and develop future leaders and people managers
- Support career development and management capability initiatives that empower employees and managers to achieve their professional goals
- Navigate employee relations challenges within the team - partnering effectively with both manager and employee as applicable
Compensation Strategy & Benefits Program Management:
- Design and implement compensation structures and programs that attract, motivate, and retain top talent
- Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to ensure competitive pay practices
- Collaborate with leadership to establish salary ranges, incentive programs, and pay equity initiatives
- Lead the development and administration of comprehensive benefits programs, including health, wellness, retirement, and leave policies
- Evaluate and negotiate with vendors to ensure high-quality benefits offerings that meet employee needs and satisfy budget requirements
- Stay current with benefits trends and regulations to ensure compliance and competitiveness
- Partner with finance and leadership to manage compensation budgets and forecasts
- Develop and implement policies and procedures related to compensation and benefits
Culture & Engagement:
- Champion a culture of inclusion, innovation, and collaboration
- Design and implement employee engagement initiatives that enhance team morale and productivity within engineering teams
- Collect and analyze employee feedback to drive continuous improvement
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in HR, with a focus on HRBP support and partnership with engineering or technical teams
- Proven experience in a startup or high-growth environment, with a strong understanding of scaling HR initiatives
- Strong knowledge of and hands-on experience with compensation structures and benefits design
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach and a passion for people development
- Strong aptitude in problem-solving and influencing with data
- Agile, team player with a results-driven approach in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Passion for the Company’s mission and commitment to make Renew Home a great place to work
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred, but not required
