Job description

We are a leading provider of low-voltage installation solutions tailored for skilled nursing facilities and elder care homes across Canada. Our mission is to enhance the safety, communication, and operational efficiency of senior care environments through innovative technology. We value dedication, professionalism, and a strong commitment to improving the quality of life for seniors.

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven sales professional to join our team as Business Development, focused on the elder care sector. This role is vital in expanding our client base and fostering long-term relationships within the industry. The ideal candidate will be based in the Greater Toronto Area, with a strong preference for in-office collaboration, although remote work arrangements will be considered for exceptional candidates with relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy Development: Create and implement effective sales strategies that target skilled nursing facilities and elder care homes. Analyze market trends and customer needs to adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including facility managers, administrators, and decision-makers. Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure client satisfaction and foster long-term partnerships.
  • Needs Assessment: Collaborate with clients to understand their specific needs and challenges, providing tailored low-voltage solutions that enhance their operations and meet regulatory requirements.
  • Product Presentation: Deliver compelling sales presentations and demonstrations that highlight the benefits and features of our low-voltage installation services. Address any questions or concerns the clients may have.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with our technical teams to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction. Communicate client feedback to enhance service delivery and product offerings.
  • Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies. Identify new business opportunities and areas for expansion within the elder care market.
  • Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline status, and forecasts. Provide regular reports to management on sales performance and strategic recommendations.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of proven sales experience in the elder care industry or a related field. A strong understanding of the unique challenges and needs of skilled nursing facilities is essential.
  • Familiarity with low-voltage installation solutions (e.g., security systems, communications technology) is a significant advantage. Candidates with related industry experience may also be considered.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and effectively engage with clients at all levels.
  • Highly driven, goal-oriented, and able to work independently while being a proactive team player.
  • Ability to understand technical concepts and communicate them effectively to non-technical audiences.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive base salary in the range of $75,000 - $80,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
  • Attractive commission plan that rewards performance and provides significant earning potential.
  • Preference for in-office work in a collaborative environment; remote work is possible for candidates with exceptional qualifications.
  • Opportunities for ongoing training and development in sales techniques and industry knowledge.
