About the HR Data Administrator: 

 

MarketStar is seeking an eager HR Data Administrator to support various human resources processes, programs, and activities, aiming to create innovative and impactful people solutions for our U.S. operations. This role provides an exciting opportunity to partner with like-minded business colleagues on a global scale. As an HR Data Administrator, the position involves close collaboration with People Success Partners, Managers, and Employees to ensure accurate data entry and record-keeping within our HRIS system specifically tailored to leave of absences and data changes.  

This role will act as the primary administrator and internal contact for leave of absences including updating employee data, managing time entry, time off maintenance, and processing of sensitive employee information. Additionally, the role includes the crucial responsibility of monitoring external vendor relations to guarantee a seamless and compliant experience for all.

What Will You Do? 

 

  • Administer and manage all aspects of employee leave of absences, including FMLA, Short term disability, long-term disability, company provided leave, and state provided leave. 

  • Maintain and manage relationships with leave of absence vendors to ensure a seamless employee experience, and general compliance with company policies and legal requirements. This involves coordinating with leave of absence vendors and entering approved leave of absences in our HRIS system. 

  • Ensure accurate and timely tracking of all employee leave of absences and when necessary, payroll data in our HRIS system.  

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding leave of absence policies, procedures, and status updates. This includes updating employee records, tracking leave balances in our vendor platform, and generating reports when necessary.  

  • Assist workforce with unresolved benefits/leave matters, including eligibility and claims issues through ticketing system 

  • Support, administer and implement employee wellness, engagement, rewards and recognition programs as needed 

  • Performs general customer service functions including answering questions and clarifying and enforcing company policies and procedures as needed. 

  • Uses functional knowledge to provide workforce with general guidance and informal training resources as needed. 

  • Provides back-up for other functional areas of the Human Resources Department, as needed. 

  • Acts as a resource and guide for managers as it relates to HR data and positions. 

  • Perform periodic audits of employee data to ensure  

  • Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the People Success team.  

 

What Will You Need to Succeed? 

  • 1-2 years of broad HR or data entry experience  

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience 

  • Foundational knowledge of HRIS systems or similar tools 

  • Previous employment in human resource industry, benefits function preferred 

  • Customer Services skills 

  • High level of integrity and confidentiality  

  • Experience in Workday is a plus 

  • Interpersonal skills 

  • Ability to work with cross functional teams 

  • Experience managing employee data with an ability to understand various leave types and how they should be applied  

  • Proven successful project and change management experience 

  • Experience designing, developing, and supporting organization-wide talent programs 

  • Ability to handle high levels of confidential information and maintain discretion 

  • Excellent judgment, planning, time management, communication, decision making, presentation, organization and interpersonal skills
