Controller - Remote

• Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure; routinely review reconciliations and journal entries to ensure accurate financial information, in accordance with GAAP policies and procedures.
• Supervise a team of accounting professionals – including training and mentoring the staff on internal processes and procedures.
• Work with the senior leadership team to build strategic initiatives and implement processes to increase accounting operation productivity.
• Comply with local and state government reporting requirements and tax filings; including but not limited to various state sales tax filings, state and local business tax filings, and tangible property tax filings.
• Collaborate with account managers, sales team, and department leaders to review and understand the financial impact of customer contracts.
• Interpret and manage vendor contracts and relationships.
• Develop and implement new procedures and processes to enhance the workflow of the department and solve new challenges as they occur.
• Ensure an accurate and timely reporting of all company financial information monthly, quarterly, and year-end close.
• Other duties, as assigned.

• A Bachelor’s degree in accounting  is required.
• Licensed CPA is required. 
• Previously held a leadership position during growth phase of $100+ million revenue.
• 5+ years of experience in public accounting is highly preferred.
• Experience working in private equity backed company is preferred.
•  Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Experience in multi-currency environment is a plus.
• Extensive knowledge of accounting principles and usage of GAAP financial statements.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Driven, self-motivated, and goal-oriented.
• Ability to work autonomously, perform well under pressure, and manage change effectively.
