Strata-G is seeking an experienced Project Manager with Q Clearance with the following:

Overview:

Seeking a Project Management Specialist to contribute to efforts on large-scale scientific research and development projects.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

This position will provide project management support to the Advanced Engineering Technologies group. Responsibilities will include providing work breakdown structure, establishing and maintaining the project schedule, milestones and costs, ensuring control over project scope, and developing communications and reporting to the project sponsor. The position will require an ability to work independently with little oversight. Intermediate knowledge of Project Management as evidenced by a CAPM or PMP certification, and/or 3-5 years of direct project management experience is desired. This position is intended to establish consistent processes that can be maintained by the project team, and is therefore of about 12 months' duration. This position requires a Q Clearance.

The Advanced Engineering Technologies group of National Security Sciences Directorate is adding new projects that require solid project management support from the Project Management Office. PMO support ensures consistency across the initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing processes. This support allows the scientists to focus on their areas of expertise with greater efficiency, and also allows for more consistent reporting and communication with the project sponsors.

Qualifications Required:

BS/BA in project management, business, engineering or equivalent.

3-5 years of applicable experience.

DOE Q Clearance.

Have strong interpersonal and communication skills, and be capable of working independently on complex tasks in support of team members.

Qualifications Desired:

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or equivalent.

Possess a solid understanding of project management best practices and competence creating project schedules, performing resource loading, incorporating monthly status, and creating and maintaining the project baseline.

Demonstrated ability of successful work in an interdisciplinary project environment and/or scientific collaboration that includes participants from academia, national laboratories, and other scientific organizations.

Exceptional communications skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to a diverse audience.

Experience working with senior level customers.

Experience working on large and/or complex projects.

Contract - 12 months.

Job Location:

Oak Ridge, TN - Onsite only, no remote or hybrid options.
