ROLE BRIEF

We are looking for an experienced Lead QA Engineer to join our SDK and Development Team. As a Lead QA, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and stability of our SDK and platform by leading all QA activities, from planning and strategy through to test execution and delivery. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure our SDK and app releases meet the highest standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the QA process: Define and implement quality assurance strategies, processes, and standards for SDKs and the broader development team.
  • Test planning and execution: Oversee the creation and execution of detailed test plans and test cases, ensuring comprehensive coverage for SDK features and integrations.
  • Automation and Manual Testing: Manage both automated and manual testing efforts, ensuring they are effectively balanced based on project needs.
  • Team leadership: Mentor and guide junior QA engineers, ensuring that best practices are adhered to and professional development is supported.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with development teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, identify potential issues, and provide input during product development.
  • Performance and security testing: Ensure SDK and platform features are tested for performance, security, and scalability.
  • Defect tracking and reporting: Utilize defect tracking systems to log, track, and report on bugs, as well as collaborate with developers to ensure timely fixes.
  • SDK-specific testing: Lead the testing strategy for SDK integrations into partner and client apps, including compatibility and functional validation.
  • Test reporting: Provide regular reports on test progress, coverage, and test results to stakeholders and upper management.
  • Continuous improvement: Drive improvements to existing QA processes, tools, and automation frameworks

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience in a QA leadership role, ideally within SDK development or a similar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of SDK testing and experience working with SDKs embedded into client-partner applications.
  • Experience in testing both mobile applications (iOS/Android) and web platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Postman) and familiarity with manual testing.
  • Proficiency in using defect tracking tools such as Jira, TestRail, or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and how to integrate QA processes.
  • Experience with API testing and familiarity with tools like Postman.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies and experience working in agile teams.

DESIRABLE:

  • Experience with performance testing and security testing tools (e.g., JMeter, OWASP ZAP).
  • Familiarity with cloud environments and tools like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Knowledge of PostHog or similar tracking solutions.
  • Experience working in a health and wellness tech environment.
