Software Developer - Catalog

Paradigm is a software company transforming the way that the residential, construction & building product industries operate across the globe. We are looking for a Software Developer – Catalog to be part of revolutionizing these industries.

We are seeking an intelligent, creative, and dependable person to join our MDR software development team. This role includes customer interactions in a fast-paced, dynamic business environment.

What You Will Do:

• You will understand business requirements, troubleshoot and solution creatively, communicate effectively with peers, and deliver and support software solutions that meet customers’ needs. A ‘can do’ attitude is a must.
• You will analyze application/customer requirements.
• You will develop product catalogs in VB.NET and possibly do some application development in C#. The ability to code in other languages (such as C#) is a big plus!
• You will complete projects with some guidance, within given timeframes, and with acceptable levels of rework.
• You will be responsible for communication with internal and external stakeholders of varying technical aptitude to gather requirements, engineer solutions, and explicate constraints.
• You will be responsible for good time management and accurate time tracking on projects.
• You will develop in Microsoft Visual Studio and SQL Server Management Studio.
• You will be responsible for in depth troubleshooting and debugging, with the ability to clearly formulate good/better/best remediation options.
  
  
  

What You Need to Succeed:

• You have a bachelor’s degree in computer science (or equivalent), or equivalent professional experience.
• You have at least 2+ years of object-oriented programming in a professional environment preferred. Also, you have experience developing in a modern IDE.
• You have strong critical thinking skills, including creative development skills, requirements analysis capabilities, and proven problem-solving skills.
• It would be helpful if you have knowledge of SQL and RDBMS. ERP and building industry experience is a plus but not required.
• You must be able to work effectively under deadlines and manage concurrent projects. You like a dynamic & fast paced environment.
• You have the ability to take direction and work independently to creatively meet business objectives. You are well organized & dependable.
• This role interacts with customers, so you must have strong customer service experience and a customer service mindset.

Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. Most roles at Paradigm have three levels, Associate, Mid and Senior. Our pay ranges are inclusive of all three levels (if applicable), our US based Associate level pay begins at $60,000 annually for this role. The salary does not reflect total compensation, which includes base salary and benefits. These compensation levels are subject to an annual review.
