Responsibilities

We are hiring for an Applications Programmer. This position is a remote role. Grow your expertise in full life-cycle applications while designing developing, documenting, testing, and deploying online, web-based business management solutions to maintain fleet and family readiness with Peraton across the globe.

This work includes but is not limited to:

  • Working in small to medium size agile teams to develop on-line applications that are deployed in a cloud environment to users across the world
  • Adhering to sound software development processes and participate in an agile environment where high quality delivery is an expectation
  • Working with government stakeholders to design, develop, integrate, and test solutions for new requirements to improve the management of fleet and family programs
  • Participating in planning, daily progress, periodic review, and lessons-learned meetings
  • Using development tools to track your tasks, manage code changes, and document your work
  • Accessing on-line training to further your knowledge in a wide choice of technology directions

Qualifications

Required Experience/Education:

  • BS 0-2 Years or HS diploma 4 years experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or other related technical field with relevant academic or professional experience is preferred
  • Academic or professional experience with SQL, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
  • Academic or professional experience developing new software and/or troubleshooting and enhancing existing software
  • Experience or training with object-oriented concepts and programming
  • Experience or training with web development frameworks, database technologies, web services, web application servers
  • Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance, US citizenship required

Desired Experience:

  • Experience or training with Ext JS framework, Rest, XML, JSON
  • Experience or training with server page technologies such as PHP, ASP, JSP, ColdFusion
  • Experience or training Web Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) Level A and AA
  • An understanding of software development methods, such as Agile or Iterative development
  • Experience or training with Atlassian tools such as Jira, and Confluence
  • Experience or training with configuration management, automated build and continuous integration tools such as SVN, ANT, Jenkins
  • Experience or training with automated testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, Katalon
  • Ability to solve problems while adapting and learning new technologies and concepts
  • Ability to perform as a positive, self-motivated, independent, detail oriented, and responsible team-player
  • Strong written and oral communication skills

Target Salary Range

$51,000 - $82,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
