Senior Blockchain Engineer (Developer Experience & Tooling)

This client is one of the largest blockchain development companies in the world building out household name applications across finance, DeFi, NFT’s and general Blockchain SaaS solutions. Most of their employees operate fully remotely and we are looking for staff across a number of disciplines with this top tier client.

Responsibilities

You will create the future of the decentralised application (dapp) developer experience. Building on blockchains requires a new mindset, end-user considerations, and grappling with new technological challenges. These facets need to be deeply considered when building the tools that designers, engineers, security auditors, and solution architects use on a daily basis. While the journey has begun, there’s still so much to solve. You will be part of a team that’s laser-focused on making the dapp developer experience as effortless as it both can and needs to be in order to realise the true potential of blockchains and web3.

Requirements

• A passion for decentralised computing and its disruptive potential
• An appreciation of the core constructs of decentralised systems such as consensus algorithms, network & data exchange protocols, cryptography, trust models, etc
• Demonstrable experience with a modern programming language and its associated tooling, such as Node.js, Python, Go, or Rust
• Hands-on experience with a variety of stages of the application development lifecycle (wireframing, prototyping, architecting, development, support, scaling, etc)
• Experience with a smart contract development language (Solidity, Vyper, etc.)
  
  

Potential Skills

• ES6/Node.js and working within its associated ecosystem
• Real world decentralised application (dapp) development
• Open source software contribution and/or project maintenance
• Technical writing including documentation, tutorials, etc.
• Involvement with a technically-focused developer community
