Description

The Technology Specialist is a critical role within the business applications team at Mount Sinai. This role will work closely with internal team members and core business users to understand requirements and design, develop, and provide hands on support for integrations as well as PaaS extensions. This role must also have familiarity of Oracle Cloud OIC architecture and includes end to end understanding of all components that is necessary to support Oracle Cloud including critical upstream and downstream systems and interfaces, reports, data and analytics solutions, and various types of application and database servers. This also includes the support of the technical infrastructure of Oracle OCI & Fusion ERP in Oracle Cloud.

The ideal candidate will have deep OIC & VBCS development and support experience as well as technical architecture experience within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and can identify and initiate solutions to complex or systematic problems and analyzes business plans and strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with internal team members as well as core business owners to review and integrate all application requirements (functional, security, integration, performance, quality and operations) and technical architecture requirements.
  • Design, develop and provide hands-on support for developing integrations/extensions in OIC/VBCS/PCS/SQL/PL-SQL
  • Responsible for mapping business processes to support applications, defining the data entities, selecting integration technology components and patterns, and designing the integration.
  • Develops and maintains enterprise architecture and security around all components.
  • Provide hands-on development and configuration support for existing and future implementations of Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications (HCM, ERP, SCM, etc.)
  • Responsible for ensuring auditing compliance across Oracle infrastructure and security.
  • Utilizes an in-depth knowledge of technological alternatives and directions, business systems and requirements, conducts independent analyses and reviews of technical and business requirements.
  • Develops innovations with business partnerships, enhancing operations and/or providing a competitive advantage to the organization. Acts as the primary technical resource and consultant, in their area of expertise, to senior client and IT management and staff.
  • Provides feedback on programming, interface, or product design issues which could impact scheduling and allocation of resources.
  • Ensures technical designs comply with applicable architecture standards and designs are functionally and technically feasible.
  • Configure application with optimal DB and application settings. Solid understanding of database tuning and optimization.
  • Validates technology ability to meet business, performance, integration, and scalability requirements for each project.
  • Establish, communicate, and enforce application design patterns, interface standards, and development guidelines.
  • Oracle Fusion Cloud applications development experience using web services (SOAP/REST) and BI Publisher.
  • Plays a critical role in the investigation of new technologies along with Enterprise Architecture and Solution Design and Consulting to provide development viability of architectural initiatives to meet medium to long term business needs.
  • Adjusts product architecture as customers’ requirements, market conditions and technology evolve.
  • Establishes solutions architectural processes and standards to guide the rest of the development organization.
  • Partner with program managers and development teams on oversight for all requirements to formulate appropriate architecture required to provide system functionality, deciding when to advocate and when to compromise to arrive at mutually acceptable solutions.
  • Understands the long-term business objectives and proposes technology strategies to meet those objectives by introducing innovation through technology.
  • Works with the development team to translate software architecture into design.

Qualifications

Education Requirements

Bachelor?s degree in technical discipline.

Technical expertise in Oracle Cloud OCI, OIC, VBCS, PCS, Oracle FSCM, HCM & EDMCS.

Experience Requirements

  • 10 years minimum experience (higher preferred), including a demonstrated ability in technology area. In-depth knowledge of associated technology areas that could impact area of responsibility; healthcare technology experience preferred.
  • Strong experience in Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) using FTP, SOAP, REST, FBDI, BIP Reports, SaaS, PaaS including experience with working on-premises integration and 3rd part applications to oracle cloud.
  • Integrating Oracle VBCS with cloud applications using OIC adapters required.
  • Experience with SQL, PL/SQL, and Fusion ERP/HCM Experience.

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $120000 - $180060 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
