Job description

Director, Finance
Location: Hybrid, East Boston, MA

The Mission of the Role:

The Director of Finance will support the Vice President of Finance in ensuring financial compliance, providing decision support, and assisting in developing and executing the strategy for our financial future.

The Role:

- Own COGS portion of P&L (budgeting, forecasting, accounting for actuals, analysis)
- Create/maintain cost model to set standards annually
- Partner with operations team to ensure proper reflection of costs in the financials
- Mentor and develop members of the finance & accounting team
- Assist in the identification and implementation of proper financial controls
- Assist VP of Finance in overall budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Other duties as necessary to achieve accurate and timely financials, credible and meaningful management reporting, and tracking of OKRs and other metrics

Requirements:

Must have:
- Extensive experience in a manufacturing organization, preferably in food and beverage
- Strong cost accounting skills and ability to analyze COGS to deliver actionable insights
- Ability to effectively convey complex financial information to a non-finance audience
- Demonstrated experience as a valued business partner to Supply Chain / Operations

Nice to have
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related major
- Experience in Plex ERP
