We are looking for an Executive Engineering leader to continue to strengthen our digital strategy, influence and delivery arm within IT. This is a strategically critical role as Humana looks to transform its business and customer and agent experience through data, analytics, and digital technology.
Key Responsibilities
Lead a large multi discipline organization that includes the following areas:
Digital Engineering responsible for delivering highly personalized mobile and web experiences for Humana consumers and members.
Agent Sales and CRM technology responsible for enabling both internal tele-sales and external sales agents with efficient easy to use applications.
Portfolio Management and Agile Maturity teams
Lead the organization to drive best-in-class modern technology solutions for digital – including platforms, web, and mobile.
Manage a large portfolio of IT investments, including delivering and enhancing digital experiences, driving productivity, efficiency, and service.
Provide proactive technical guidance, and oversight to delivery teams, using modern cloud-native technologies, fostering DevSecOps, creating scalable microservices, building for re-use, design for scale, stability, security, and operational efficiency.
Drive adoption of our newly implemented Adobe Experience Platform
Set a high bar for Agile delivery and Engineering excellence across the team using metrices to ensure a streamlined delivery model.
Collaborate with other IT engineering leaders, business leaders and other key stakeholders, while working closely with solution architects and delivery teams.
Create an environment that attracts, develops, and retains top talent and is recognized as the premier technology innovation organization in the industry.
Systematically cultivate, nurture, and maintain a long-term, broad network of collaborative relationships with key stakeholders (internal and external) to benefit Humana.
Engage key 3rd party partners, manage the terms of their services, and ensure they deliver to their contractual obligations.

Key Candidate Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess proven delivery experience and technical expertise across multiple domains and will have senior level leadership experience in a complex corporate environment. He/she will be a “disrupter” with a record of driving meaningful change and collaborating effectively with a wide range of internal and external business partners to design and execute strategic initiatives. Healthcare industry experience is a plus.
Required Skills:
Experience building modern Digital and CRM solutions (preferably Salesforce Commerce Cloud or Health Cloud) in the public cloud in a highly regulated industry.
Extensive knowledge and experience with Agile delivery across a large organization.
Deep knowledge and experience with Public Cloud, preferably Azure, DevSecOps, Front End language and frameworks, and microservices architecture.
Experience with building and operating environments using a team of off-shore and on-shore Software Engineers to support advanced Digital requirements.
Successful experience leading a large development team comprised of architects, software engineers, and quality engineers with a mix of associates and contractors.
Track record of success leading delivery of enterprise-scale initiatives involving multiple functions and business segments.
Strong relationship management skills, to interface with internal and external partners across Humana’s business segments and IT.
Demonstrated ability to bridge the strategic vision with tactical delivery to drive results.
Ability to balance and satisfy divergent needs and priorities in a complex organizational structure.
Exceptional communications skills, polish, poise, and executive presence that will ensure effective interaction with senior and executive level audiences.
Proven track record in team development and preparing direct reports for larger leadership roles.

Must be comfortable managing organizations of 500+ globally distributed resources and capital budgets of $80+ million.
Proven success in driving for results with a passion to create change.
