Job description

Purpose

The purpose of this role is to support and implement strategies that are aligned with the Material Science Segment of RCNA, ,and help lead to sales growth and profit within this segment. Specifically, this position will work primarily with all markets falling under the Material Science Segment, and be involved with helping to drive, maintain and close on new business, assist with the development and maintenance of sales content and marketing plans such as industry specific line cards and brochures, coordinate industry tradeshow activities, supplier training webinars, and provide an overall strong partnership with both supply-side and sales-side company functions. This role is closely aligned with select management directed activities of several chemical channels, and requires a dedicated and proactive individual who can partner with and execute marketing and sales activities that help drive the day-to-day and future business needs of Ravago.

Areas of Responsibility/Tasks

Performance must reflect appropriate level of expertise and achievement of the desired results for the items listed below .

  • Interact directly with the Material Science Segment Manager to identify new market opportunities, prepare regular sales activity reports, and respond to questions from our supplier or the sales organization as needed.
  • Work individually or with a team in recommending action, scheduling, and planning projects, estimating cost, when necessary and managing projects to completion.
  • Coordinate and assist with the setup, facilitation and completion of industry specific marketing events and tradeshows.
  • Assist with the coordinating and organizing of various supplier seminars and events, as well as manage follow-up action items.
  • Manage and organize internal content (SharePoint) of existing industry literature to enhance Commercial Sales product knowledge as well as maximizing overall sales and profit growth.
  • Track and order industry promotional supplies as needed to support key Ravago Segments so as to maximize the Ravago brand

and its vendors.

  • Work with Ravago Marketing to develop and/or initiate the production of marketing support material (e.g. product brochures,

content, videos, etc.) to help support Commercial Sales efforts in growing our business..

  • Travel with Ravago Material Science Segments and Commercial Sales as deemed necessary by calling on and helping to grow business at targeted industries, suppliers, and customers alike.
  • Support campaigns, programs, on-going business reviews and lead flows using the various marketing technology platforms available internally at Ravago which include Tableau, RepLink, Dynamics(CRM), Power Point, Excel, Word, LinkedIn and other social media platforms.
  • Conduct regular target review with suppliers, customers and commercial sales.
  • Help to identify unique value and selling propositions that assist Commercial Sales in identifying and closing on new business

opportunities.

  • Attend industry functions and trade shows as direct by management with an eye towards networking and engaging with suppliers and customers alike.

  • Ability to travel up to 50% or more when needed.

Minimum Qualifications/ Education / Experience / Certifications

  • Education: Bachelor Degree from a 4 year accredited college or university in a technical discipline related to Chemical

Sales is preferred(Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Microbiology, etc.), or Business degree.

  • Work Experience: 10 years’ experience in the Chemical Manufacturing, Chemical Distribution or like Chemical Customer industry.
  • Systems Experience: Good computing skills and proficient in various business intelligence systems.
  • License: Must have a valid driver’s license.

Work Environment / Conditions

The work environment/conditions described herein are representative of those that an applicant may experience.

  • This job primarily operates in a home office setting, and when needed, will be required to travel and attend various pre- determined industry, supplier and customer sales functions. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop,

phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and mobile communications devices.

  • Must also be comfortable working in a shared office space when participating in meetings, working with commercial sales, visiting regional sales offices, suppliers and customers.
  • Schedule may vary from week to week based on on-going business demands in excess of 40 hours with or without notice.
