About the Role:

Software Engineering Team Lead formulates and defines specifications for complex operating software programming applications or modifies/maintains complex existing applications. May manage the software engineers who will be responsible for the development and unit testing of the system. The position is remote. However, preference will given to candidates located near a MultiPlan office: Naperville, IL; Boston, MA; New York, New York, Rockville, MD: Dallas, TX. This position is not approved for visa sponsorship, C2C or C2H.

Responsibilities:

• Research, construct, develop, and test computer application software or systems.
• Analyze users’ needs and design software as necessary.
• Maintain computer applications software and systems and debug as problems arise.
• Evaluate new and existing software to adapt it to new hardware or to upgrade interfaces and improve performance.
• Coordinate cross-functional projects as assigned and interact with all areas of the organization to achieve timely results.
• Consult with customers on project status and advise customer about technical issues.
• Manage a team of software engineers on a specific project(s).
• Develop and maintain the development project plan.
• Develop and maintain the technical specification.
• Develop and maintain the deployment plan.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on candidate’s experience.
• Select, develop, and evaluate staff to ensure the efficient operation of department.
• Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate across disciplines and departments.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and requirements.
• Demonstrate Company’s Core Competencies and values held within.

Required Skills:

• Must have 5+ years of progressive full stack software development experience including React, Java, Spring Boot, Service API, SQL. Experience with NextJS, NodeJS/Express, NoSQL, Containerization, CI/CD, GraphQL is preferred.
• Previous experience in leadership and management is preferred.
• Strong Communication (oral, written and listening), interpersonal, problem solving, troubleshooting, and prioritization skills are a MUST!
• Ability to quickly attain and understand new processes with strict attention to detail.
• Ability to work at the highest technical level on all phases of software systems programming applications.
• Ability to be self organized, self-motivated, and work in team environment.
• Ability to direct and motivate people; and to serve as an example to others.
• Ability to challenge individuals to discover the root cause of an issue.
• Bachelor's degree OR HS Diploma and minimum of 5 years experience in related field. Master’s degree desired.

Pay range and compensation package:

The salary range for this position is $140K to $145K. Specific offers take into account a candidate’s education, experience and skills, as well as the candidate’s work location and internal equity. This position is also eligible for health insurance, 401k and bonus opportunity.
