Job Overview

We are currently seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant/Nurse LPN to join our person-centered integrated care team. This vital role is essential in maintaining effective and professional relationships with patients and medical staff while delivering compassionate healthcare services. As part of our commitment to the community, we are offering a sign-on bonus of \(1500 for Medical Assistants and an additional \)2500 for Nurses.*

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, ensuring a comfortable environment.
  • Document patient histories and vital signs with precision in medical records.
  • Prepare examination and treatment rooms with the necessary equipment and supplies.
  • Execute procedures such as venipunctures, urinalysis, and EKGs as directed by medical practitioners.
  • Administer immunizations and other injections in accordance with established protocols.
  • Educate patients about their health and provide clear instructions.
  • Maintain sterilization and organization of medical supplies and equipment.
  • Support physicians and nurse practitioners in minor surgical procedures and physical examinations.
  • Assist in scheduling tests and treatments for patients.
  • Screen incoming calls and relay messages appropriately.
  • Uphold patient confidentiality and adhere to all regulatory guidelines including CLIA and OSHA.
  • Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of facilities and equipment.
  • Monitor inventory of medical supplies and reorder as necessary.
  • Attend required training sessions and uphold professional ethical standards.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as needed to support clinic operations.

Required Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in medical office terminology and procedures.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being capable of independent work.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Practical Nursing certificate is mandatory for Nurse LPN applicants.
  • Medical Assistant Certification or LPN necessary; GPN candidates must pass the MO NCLEX exam within 90 days of graduation.
  • At least two (2) years of relevant work experience is required if certification is not held; prior medical office experience is preferred.
