Job description

Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) is seeking a Business Program Manager to support the CO+I leadership team responsible for Microsoft’s Air Gapped Cloud (AGC) Construction, Program Management and Operations. CO+I AGC is responsible for planning, procurement, building, and operating Microsoft’s AGC infrastructure datacenters.

To help us accelerate achieving our objectives, growth and transformation, we are looking for a strong candidate, who will report to the AGC GM/Partner leading the Air Gapped Cloud organization. The role will be responsible for working with the leadership team in driving business operations, manage data and analytics for decision making, creating, and managing Rhythm of the Business, driving organizational initiatives, and business process to meet strategic objectives and priorities. This individual must have a blend of strategy, planning, data and analytics, business management, communications, and program management skills to successfully support a Partner. Global Datacenter Operations is an exciting, rapidly growing organization responsible for operating our cloud infrastructure for Cloud & Artificial Intelligence (C+AI). We are looking for an experienced Business Program Manager to focus on furthering people-related programs within our datacenter employee population. This position will collaborate with the leadership team, Chief of Staff, Employee Network Groups, and HR Business Partners, etc. to cultivate, plan, monitor, execute, and drive continuous improvements in the datacenters.

  • This role is located either in one or all hub locations - Atlanta, GA, Washington, D.C., Redmond, WA, San Antonio, TX or Phoenix, AZ.
  • Relocation support will be provided, and successful candidates must relocate or reside within 50 miles of the hub office location.
  • This role is eligible for hybrid or remote work, up to 100%.

What You Will Work On

  • Execute on the rhythm of business for leadership sponsors and v-team members across multiple workstreams, ensuring focused and timely alignment to the corporate framework and increase the visibility of programs across the organization by presenting in leadership forums.
  • Partner with the Leadership Team, Chief of Staff, and several business partners to understand priorities and identify areas where people programs (such as employee learning and development, morale events, communications, etc.) can help achieve desired outcomes.
  • Act as a strategist and thought partner to in-business Employee Network Groups (ENGs); partnering on events, development of related OKRs, and ensuring groups are supported and connected across the organization.
  • Monitor and analyze employee survey sentiment, feedback from listening sessions and other listening systems to provide regular reports and recommendations to senior leadership and partner teams.
  • Manage, execute, and scale people programs within Datacenter Operations. Leverage proven programs and infrastructure from across the C+AI division while identifying gaps and unique needs that need localized intervention.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 4+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience managing programs/initiatives and driving change management.
Background Check Requirements

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
  • Citizenship & Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of U.S citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States federal, state, and/or local United States government agency customers and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. To meet this legal requirement, citizenship will be verified via a valid passport, or other approved documents, or verified US government clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing, delivering, promoting, critically assessing, and continually improving programs for a large organization.
  • Experience working with employee resource groups and manager communities a plus.
  • PMP certification a plus.
  • 2+ years in datacenter operations domain experience.
  • Excellent project management, communications and organizational skills and attention to detail, with a track record of getting things done through cross-functional partnerships.
  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to develop, co-create and deliver presentations, training sessions, and workshops with senior leaders and partners.
  • Experience in leading and managing global virtual teams and programs. Excellent influence management skills.

Business Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,600 - $183,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $122,000 - $200,500 per year.
