About the Role:

We're seeking a talented Fullstack Django Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to contribute across the entire stack of our web applications, from designing and implementing robust backend systems using Django to crafting engaging user interfaces with modern frontend technologies. You'll play a key role in the development and maintenance of our core products, ensuring they deliver exceptional user experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Fullstack Development: Work across the entire technology stack, from backend Python/Django development to frontend implementation using JavaScript frameworks like React or Angular.
  • Django Expertise: Design, develop, and maintain Django applications, leveraging the framework's capabilities for rapid development, efficient data management, and robust APIs.
  • Frontend Development: Build intuitive and responsive user interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks, HTML, and CSS.
  • API Design and Integration: Create and maintain RESTful APIs for seamless communication between frontend and backend components.
  • Database Management: Work with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) to design schemas, optimize queries, and ensure data integrity.
  • Problem Solving: Analyze and troubleshoot technical issues across the full stack, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (product managers, designers, QA) to deliver high-quality software that meets user needs.
  • Testing and Deployment: Write unit and integration tests for both frontend and backend code, and participate in the deployment and monitoring of applications.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in fullstack web development technologies and contribute to the team's technical growth.

Qualifications:

  • Fullstack Experience: Proven experience in both backend (Python/Django) and frontend (JavaScript frameworks) development.
  • Django Proficiency: Strong understanding of Django's core concepts, including models, views, templates, and URL routing.
  • Frontend Expertise: Proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks and their associated ecosystems.
  • API Development: Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
  • Database Skills: Knowledge of relational database design and SQL query optimization.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze and solve complex technical challenges across the full stack.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, able to articulate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Team Player: Collaborative and enjoys working in a team environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
