Business Lenders (WBL) provides general purpose short-term real estate collateralized commercial loans to a broad customer base comprised of small and medium sized businesses throughout the United States that lack access to traditional funding.

WBL is a U.S. based company with a 100% remote workforce.

This is a remote Contract/Consultant position. Generally, working hours will be 9:00am-6:00pm Eastern, Monday through Friday, although hours worked may be greater based upon operational requirements. The job requires excellent oral and written command of the English language. Resumes must be submitted in English.

Job Description:

  • The Big Data Analyst will be responsible for analyzing vast amounts of data, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights that support business strategies. This role requires expertise in data science, with a strong focus on handling large datasets, advanced analytical techniques, and the ability to work with software tools designed for big data. The Big Data Analyst will collaborate with various departments, including financial planning and analytics, to ensure data-driven decision-making across the organization.

 Essential Functions:

  • Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and correlations that inform business decisions.
  • Manage and organize large-scale datasets from multiple sources, ensuring data quality and consistency. Utilize big data tools and technologies to process, analyze, and derive meaningful insights from structured and unstructured data.
  • Use data science tools and software platforms to automate data collection, analysis, and reporting. Ensure that the company’s big data infrastructure is optimized for efficiency and scalability.

Requirements

  • 100% fluency in English, with exceptional English verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 2 years of experience in big data analysis, data science, or related roles preferred.
  • Expertise in data science techniques, including data mining, statistical analysis.
  • Strong software development background, with experience using big data tools.
  • Industry experience in banking preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint required; Teams experience required.
  • You must have your own laptop or desktop to use (the company does not supply equipment)
