Role Summary

Reporting to the Director of Product Design, we will determine the title and scope of work via our applicants, we’re more focused on bringing on the right person and will shape the role accordingly. The Senior or Staff Product Designer will be joining our design organization, partnering cross-functionally with Product Management, Engineering, Operations and Product Marketing teams to build the next generation of energy services products.

Renew Home has ambitious growth targets and is looking for an experienced product designer to help create the best product experiences for both our consumers and our energy partners.

What You Will Do

  • Lead out in design thinking workshops to explore ideas and concepts.
  • Work cross-functionally with product management, engineering and design counterparts.
  • Create full service product design assets such as flows, wireframes, prototyping, user testing, and high fidelity designs.
  • Conduct user research initiatives to inform the overall roadmap as well as validate design decisions, keeping the organization close to our users.
  • Post launch, participate in quant data reviews and iterative ideation sessions.
  • Lastly, partner with Product and Product Designers to give and receive continuous feedback.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of Product Design experience with a portfolio that highlights your design ability from UX to UI and business impact.
  • Proven track record of collaborating with Product Managers and Engineering partners to ship successful product experiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to design simple solutions to complex user and technical problems.
  • Top communication skills to clearly articulate and discuss your design work.
  • Fluency in Figma and prototyping your ideas to help drive alignment.
  • Low ego, loves to collaborate, and an open mind.
  • Experience working with hybrid or remote teams.
  • Bonuses:

    • Experience with the intersection of consumer hardware and software services.
    • Experience working at a design agency where you presented to clients.
