Job description

Company Overview:
Would you enjoy being involved in executing large-scale, complex airport construction projects?
Connico was founded in 1990 and is now a leading national construction consultancy known for its extraordinary team and commitment to superior client service. Connico offers highly specialized consulting services unique in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction industries. As experts in aviation and transportation, Connico assists owners, architects, engineers, and planners with cost estimating, scheduling, planning, and project management.

We are seeking a Senior Construction Project Scheduler for airport and other construction projects.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assemble schedules in clear and concise formats by compiling anticipated durations and logic components of schedules, and by including conducting research on material availability and labor practices, developing activity durations, assessing and responding to global project variables, integrating quantity takeoff or other constraints, documenting project assumptions, and issuing project reports. Input cost-loading or resource-loading constraints into schedules.
  • Understand and develop materials and labor production rates for various construction activities.
  • Coordinate with civil, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing disciplines to understand and solve potential constructability issues and integrate these considerations into deliverables and client communication.
  • Communicate and interact with a design team or other client to understand the project scope and ensure that deliverables meet client needs.
  • Manage schedule databases and scheduling software, keeping data up-to-date and maintaining accessibility for staff across the company.
  • Manage a project team to complete other Connico deliverables, including constructability reviews, project controls, escort or badging services, planning projects and related services, or other projects outside the scope of estimating.
  • Produce quality and timely deliverables working with both all levels of detailed design and planning-level or ROM-level documents, demonstrating ability to visualize, plan, and schedule abstract planning projects at a rough order of magnitude level without 100% of detail and documentation.
  • Train and mentor others on technical and non-technical topics, sharing knowledge through the company and elevating yourself as an expert.
  • Lead and manage an internal team to achieve project goals, including on-time delivery of deliverables, producing reports that meet Connico’s core values and high standard of quality, utilizing and training other Connico staff, communicating project changes or challenges to the company, and bringing the project in on budget. Lead quality management reviews for Connico deliverables.
  • Maintain client relationships through regular client interface, both on projects and through interaction not related to projects.
  • If required, perform onsite construction observation, including document management, quantity tracking, and observation of construction activities.
  • Some travel may be required, including visits to conferences, client offices, project sites, or other company offices. Maximum travel 10-15%.
Position Qualifications:
  • Four-year degree from an accredited institution in construction management, engineering, estimating, quantity surveying, or related field, or equivalent knowledge.
  • PMI-SP, PSP, PMP, CCM, or PE certification is required.
  • 10+ years construction scheduling or planning experience in related market segments, or equivalent knowledge required.
  • 2+ years ONSITE construction-related experience.
  • Proven track record of managing, leading, and creating schedules on major projects, including responsibility for timeliness of deliverables, management of budget, integrating phasing quantities or data from others, and professionally communicating with clients.
  • Proficiency in basic office software including Adobe, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software programs such as Primavera OPC, Primavera P6, or Microsoft Project.
  • Proficiency in manipulating schedules, and knowledge of common terms in estimating.
  • Ability to interpret architectural, civil, and engineering drawings and specifications (both at high levels of design and at the planning stage), rough schedules, and architectural and engineering reports. Ability to transmit this information to others.
  • Experience in the aviation market is preferred but not required.

Connico offers a comprehensive compensation package that includes a salary range starting at $130k with bonus opportunities as well as continuous growth opportunities. Compensation commensurate with experience and qualifications.

This is a full-time hybrid position (in office T, W, TH) or a full-time remote opportunity for the right candidate.
