The Strategic Account Executive plays a vital role in the Account Management Team, focusing on client retention and service excellence. This position manages client relationships to ensure retention and satisfaction, while identifying strategies to maximize value for both clients and brokers. The Strategic Account Executive will support plan design, review utilization trends, and develop cost-effective solutions to strengthen long-term relationships.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Management: Oversee a diverse client portfolio, prioritizing retention and satisfaction.
  • Relationship Building: Foster strong professional relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Performance Coordination: Serve as the liaison between clients and internal departments to meet performance objectives.
  • Sales Achievement: Meet assigned targets for sales volume and strategic goals within accounts.
  • Strategic Planning: Lead account planning processes that define mutual objectives and critical milestones.
  • Customer Engagement: Maintain high satisfaction ratings and work to expand existing relationships.

 

Qualifications:

  • Proven success in account management or customer service roles.
  • Relevant experience in the healthcare industry or with a Third-Party Administrator (TPA), demonstrating a strong understanding of medical terminology and insurance processes.
  • Familiarity with plan design (SPD, SBC) and vendor capabilities (e.g., PBMs, UM/CM/DM).
  • Knowledge of cost containment strategies for employer groups.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective engagement with clients and internal teams.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated, with excellent multitasking abilities.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
