Now hiring: (Remote) Senior Social Impact Specialist

The Senior Social Impact Specialist is responsible for partnering with non-profit organizations, leading nationwide corporate volunteer programs, managing and facilitating donations and measuring social impact. This individual will inspire fellow associates to get involved and bring fresh ideas and creativity to an ever-evolving program. 

 

Essential Responsibilities 

  • Manage cross-functional programs, including volunteering, matching gifts, product donation and civic engagement programs. 

  • Manage Mattress Firm’s volunteering and giving platform, YourCause, and track/report on program engagement. 

  • Coordinate and track product donations weekly, working cross-functionally (with distribution centers, supply chain, store operations, etc.) and with local nonprofit partners. 

  • Plan and coordinate company-sponsored volunteer events (National Volunteer Week, annual conference volunteer event, leadership volunteer events and more). 

  • Prepare monthly and annual social impact reports. 

  • Lead the creation of social impact content, assets, and resources. 

  • Support the vision, strategic planning and implementation of overall social impact program management and expansion. 

  • Complete all required training modules and certifications prior to the due date. 

  • Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed to ensure a safe work environment for all. 

  • Communicate professionally with all internal and external contacts. 

  • Follow all Company policies and execute Company standards on appearance and functionality as well as appropriate brand representation. 

  • Communicate any concerns or issues to leadership to ensure proper efficiency of department and company operations. 

Non-Essential Responsibilities 

  • Execute company initiatives and other activities requested by supervisor. 

  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities. 

  • Contribute ideas on ways to optimize or improve the team, the department, and the Company. 

Education 

  • Bachelor's Degree Business, marketing, communications or related field or commensurate experience required 

Professional Experience 

  • 5+ Years Relevant professional experience in Corporate Responsibility, Community Relations, Sustainability or a related field 

  • 5+ Years Experience with nonprofit organizations, event coordination, volunteer management and charitable giving

Pay Range:

$75,000-78,000 per year
